Liu takes down main event of Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza

The latest Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza concluded last week with JJ Liu taking victory in the main event.
Liu bought in for $2,500 but walked away with $167,283 after outlasting 232 other competitors, Card Player reports.
Ulises Roman was the California resident's victim in the heads-up, with Nicholas Sliwinski , Richard Dununzio and Stewart Yancik rounding out the top five places.
Anasavanh Sittivong, Blake Cahail, Christopher MacNeil and Randy Dorfman all made the final table.
Liu is the fifth biggest female money winner in histroy on the live tournament poker circuit, according to the Hendon Mob.
Once her latest victory is added to the Mob Poker Database, her total earnings will stand at more than $1.9 million, of which approximately $260,000 has been won during 2008.
Only Kathy Liebert ($4.8 million), Annie Duke ($3.6 million), Annette Obrestad ($2.5 million) and Jennifer Harman ($2.2 million) have won more during their careers.
