Five Diamond main event "important" to Brunson

Doyle Brunson has suggested that he regards the World Poker Tour (WPT) main event of the Bellagio's Five Diamond World Poker Classic as one of the most significant tournaments on the card playing circuit.
The Texas Dolly wrote in his blog that because the event is referred to as the Doyle Brunson Classic "it is very important" that he takes part and performs to a high standard.
Brunson has yet to win the tournament but finished third in 2005, earning more than $560,000 for his troubles.
He has not performed as well in a WPT leg since; however, he will be entering the $15,000 buy-in competition with a recent cash finish under his belt having come 44th in the Festa Al Lago Classic main event at the end of October.
Brunson suggested he was looking forward to playing next week, commenting: "I love the slow structure and short hours the Bellagio offers in these tournaments. I'm going to play the first starting day."
