Negreanu reveals 2009 poker schedule

2008-12-17 12:08:52

Daniel Negreanu has revealed which poker tournament he intends to play during 2009.

Kid Poker wrote in his Full Contact Poker blog that he will be in the Bahamas at the start of January for the European Poker Tour Caribbean Adventure, but plans to skip a number of the following events, including the Borgata Winter Open, the Aussie Millions and a competition at the Biloxi.

After a five-week long break, he hopes to attend that LA Poker Classic in February, the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship and the Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament in March, the World Poker Tour Championship in April and then the World Series of Poker at the start of the summer.

Negreanu suggested that one of the main reasons he will not be travelling much is because he likes being at home.

"It's my favorite place in the whole world and when I get to be home for long stretches I find that I do so many other things that I really enjoy," he remarked.

The last event Negreanu played was the Doyle Brunson Classic, in which he was eliminated on day two.
