Poker ace Shannon Shorr is still in Las Vegas despite busting out of the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Classic at the start of the week.
The Alabaman wrote in his blog that he has "a significant financial interest" in what happens in the event and has spent much of the week sitting around waiting to see how it pans out.
In the meantime, he attended the latest UFC event at the Palms Casino Resort, watched the NFL and played a number of poker tournaments online.
Shorr is looking to return home at the end of the week but appears to have enjoyed his brief stay in Las Vegas, which has followed a long lay-off from poker.
He lived in the Nevada city for large parts of 2008, competing in a number of tournaments up to and around the World Series of Poker.
However, in September he returned to college and spent the majority of his time away from the felt.
