Cash games are much better than tournaments when it comes to how much money can be won for how much effort.
This is the suggestion of ten-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder Doyle Brunson, who wrote in his blog that he spent 25 hours playing in a WPT event this week, outlasting 432 other competitors, to earn less than $10,000.
Brunson has played in cash games before where the blinds are worth more than $10,000 and such an amount of money could easily be won in just one hand at high stakes.
Indeed, the post was written prior to the Texas Dolly taking part in a $200,000 buy-in cash game that will be shown on television as an episode of High Stakes Poker.
"Even though the tournaments at the Bellagio are by far the best, it still seems to me that the rewards are greater in the cash games," he remarked.
