Another win for Brunson on High Stakes Poker

2008-12-22 12:04:36

Poker hall-of-famer Doyle Brunson has suggested that he came out of an episode of GSN's High Stakes Poker a winner for the 13th time in a row last week.

The 75-year-old said in his blog that he is not allowed to give details about how he performed, but he went into the game with a 12-match winning streak and was set to go into the following episode in search of his 14th triumph.

"I really enjoy playing in these cash games," said Brunson, who has been a regular on High Stakes Poker since the show began.

He revealed that he played against Tom 'Durrr' Dwan, Mike Baxter, Phil Laak, Eli Elezra David Peat and Dario Minieri in the first episode, but did not say who he would be up against in the second.

On the live tournament poker circuit alone this year, Brunson has won approximately $170,000 and has probably earned extra in cash games, given that he often claims they are much more rewarding.
