Ramos leads after EPT Caribbean Adventure day 1a

2009-01-06 12:06:29

Felipe 'mojave14' Ramos finished day 1a of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Caribbean Adventure at the head of the field, holding approximately 360,100 chips in his stack.

The Brazilian, who finished 13th at EPT San Remo in 2008, came out on top on a day which saw numerous big names go to the rail early, Card Player reports.

Among the famous faces busting out were Erik Seidel, Chris Ferguson, David Pham and Gavin Griffin, while online superstars Isaac 'westmenloAA' Baron and Alex 'AJKHoosier1' Kamberis were also eliminated.

Another notable to be knocked out was Daniel Negreanu, who wrote in his Full Contact Poker blog that he did not enjoy the fast-paced structure that was being used for the event.

He revealed that 75-minute levels are being used instead of the usual 60-minute ones, but that this did not make much of a difference as one of the levels was missed out early on.
