Baker on top at EPT Caribbean Adventure

2009-01-08 12:01:41

David Baker has the chip lead after day two of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Caribbean Adventure.

According to Card Player, Baker has a stack of 925,000 chips, giving him an advantage of 85,000 over second-placed Daniel Heimiller.

Chris Brush is third on 780,000 chips, with Felipe Ramos (653,500) and double World Series of Poker bracelet holder Max Pescatori (549,000) rounding out the top five.

Among the big names knocked out on day two were reigning World Poker Tour player of the year Jonathan Little - eliminated by Baker - Adam Katz and Shannon Shorr, who was sent to the rail when his pocket kings lost out to two-pair, eights and sevens, on the river.

"My heart sunk when the dealer placed the [eight] on the end," Shorr wrote on his blog afterwards.

"What was worse than the beat was having to witness the guy's celebration scream and dance after the suckout."
