Devilfish tops chip counts on day 1b of EPT Deauville

Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott emerged from day 1b of the European Poker Tour (EPT) event in Deauville as the leader with 120,000 chips in his stack.
The UK poker player was initially thought to have only half of that amount, but after a recount at the end of the session it was confirmed that he was the frontrunner.
Ulliott is looking to become only the second competitor in history to win poker's triple crown of World Series of Poker (WSOP), World Poker Tour (WPT) and EPT title.
He picked up his WSOP crown in 1997 and his WPT trophy in 2003, but has not been able to take victory in an EPT event.
The only player to ever triumph in all three major series is Gavin Griffin, who also took part on day 1b in Deauville only to be eliminated early on.
Alessio Isaia was the second best performer during the day's action.
