Negreanu claims micro-stakes challenge "going ridiculously well"

2009-01-26 16:08:49

Daniel Negreanu has revealed he is continuing to enjoy success in his attempt to turn a $10 bankroll into $100,000 playing poker online.

The four-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder wrote in his latest blog post for Full Contact Poker that the task is "is going ridiculously well" since he jumped up to $0.02/$0.05 stakes and claimed he is less than $7 away from being able to move to $0.05/$0.10 after two sessions.

Negreanu needs to win $25 before he can step up to the next level and picked up $9.05 in his first game of 61 hands, followed by $9.43 in his second game of 83 hands.

The double World Poker Tour titlist has had a relatively quiet month on the live poker tournament front, competing in only a handful of events at the European Poker Tour Caribbean Adventure and missing out the Borgata Winter Open and the Aussie Millions.

However, he has played in numerous major tournaments online.
