Ross takes lead in OPOY competition

Matt 'cwp394' Ross has taken the lead in Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) competition on 1,630 points.
The internet player has picked up 430 points from three tournaments over the last week, lifting him above Hafi 'hafizzle' Khan on 1,530.
Scott 'stpauli111' Hall lies third with 1,466 points, followed by LosChief (1,452), BigDennys (1,440), stoledog (1,440), jnic00 (1,440) and livelikunger (1,440).
Aditya 'Intervention' Agarwal (1,424) and Mohsin 'chicagocards1' Charania (1,418) round out the top ten.
Among the big names inside the top 25 are World Poker Tour final table finisher Thayer Rasmussen in 11th, Steve 'gboro780' Gross - a contender for 2008's title - in 13th and Bellagio Cup II winner Shannon Shorr in 15th.
Shorr had been up in the top five earlier this month after winning back-to-back tournaments, but he revealed in his latest blog post this week that he has been on a bad streak of late.
