WSOP 2009 schedule announced

Harrah's Entertainment has announced the schedule for the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) - and it is bigger than ever.
Lasting for 50 days from May 26th to July 15th, this year's WSOP will be the longest in history and contain the most events at 57 - two more than in 2008.
The delay between the main event and its final table will return for a second year, with 2009's November Nine set to come back to the felt between November 7th and November 10th to battle it out for poker's biggest title.
In total, ten $10,000 buy-in World Championship events will be held, in addition to the third annual $50,000 HORSE competition and a commemorative $40,000 no-limit Texas hold'em tournament, which will mark the 40th anniversary of the WSOP on May 28th.
Among the notable exclusions for 2009 is the absence of re-buy tournaments, perhaps a response to claims from some poker players that these events give professionals an unfair advantage over the rest of the field.
