Deeb wins WPT Celebrity Invitational

Freddy Deeb has emerged as the winner of this year's World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational at the Commerce Casino, Los Angeles.
As the final six players took to the table, Tom Hall was the chipleader with 2,310,000 followed by Deeb and Nick Gonzalez - the last celebrity player in the event - with 1,190,000.
Jose 'JJ' Tavares, who started the day on 1,390,000, was the first player to be eliminated and took home $5,000 in prize money. Next up, Ottavio Tassone left in fifth place with $10,000 to show for his game.
Scot Clements took fourth place with $15,000 of prize money and 31 hands later it was Hall's time to leave the table - albeit $20,000 richer.
Gonzalez and Deeb then battled it out for the championship before the final hand was dealt and the pair ended the game taking home $50,000 and $100,000 respectively.
Later this year, the Commerce Casino will host the California State Poker Championship, which takes place between May 1st and 24th.
