Seed defeats Rousso to win NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship

Huck Seed was victorious last night as he defeated Vanessa Rousso to win the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship.
The win makes Seed the most successful player in the event's history and he pocketed $500,000 after taking an early lead against his opponent, beating her in the first of three matches.
In the final hand of the second game, a trailing Rousso pushed all-in after the turn with a pair of tens. Seed called with a pair of kings and survived the river card to eliminate his opponent in second place for a payoff of $250,000, bringing her total career winnings to more than $1 million.
Seed said the NBC tournament had always been one of his favourites. His lifetime record now stands at 18-4.
"I've played well in the past, but things especially went my way this weekend and I was able to make a run all the way to the top," he was quoted as saying by MLive.
Fans might remember that last year's winner was Chris Ferguson.
