Duke plots busy playing schedule

2009-03-18 12:14:28

Annie Duke has revealed she is planning on competing in as many tournaments as possible following this week's World Poker Tour (WPT) Bay 101 Shooting Star championship.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder has been quiet on the tournament circuit in recent months, thanks in part to her appearance on the latest series of Celebrity Apprentice.

But she has gotten back on track in recent weeks and told Gambling911 that she is keen to continue.

"I'm just trying to get as much in as much as I can," she remarked. "I think the next tournament I'm playing is the [WPT] Championship event and obviously the WSOP comes up from the hills of that."

Duke recently competed in the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship where she lost to Brad Garrett and the LA Poker Classic.

However, she has not managed to secure a notable cash finish since the WPT Doyle Brunson Classic at the Bellagio in December.

The last time she won a tournament was in 2004 when she picked up her only WSOP title to date.
