Antonius back in the lead against Durrr

2009-03-27 12:53:51

Patrik Antonius moved back into the lead against Tom 'Durrr' Dwan in their $1 million challenge match last night (March 26th).

The Finnish card sharp won $92,021 during the 460-hand session, which put him back in front by just over $23,000.

Of the minimum 50,000 hands that must be played in the challenge, 7,093 have taken place so far over the course of 12 sessions.

Around 22 hours of game time have passed, suggesting that heads-up match will last in the region 160 hours overall.

Durrr has won slightly more hands than Antonius, but Antonius has taken down the bigger pots, earning over $300 more on average than Dwan per hand.

The match, which was announced in January, has picked up pace over the last few days, with more than half the sessions taking place in the last fortnight.

It is possible that the game will slow down again next month when both men will probably be in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker.
