Longson, Gardner make WSOP champions list

Carolyn Gardner and O'Neil Longson are the two latest players to be added to Bluff Magazine's countdown of the top 40 greatest World Series of Poker (WSOP) champions.
Gardner, who won the Ladies Championship Seven-Card Stud Event in 1983, was 39th and three-time bracelet winner Longson was 38th in the list, which is being published exclusively on the official WSOP website.
Bluff stated that Gardner deserves inclusion by way of being the first African-American to pick up a bracelet.
Meanwhile, Longson's longevity and the fact that his victories came against great players such as TJ Cloutier helped him into 38th position.
Jamie Gold, who dominated the 2006 WSOP main event on the way to becoming the biggest money winner in poker history, kicked off the list earlier this week in 40th place.
A new name is going to appear every week day until this year's WSOP gets underway towards the end of May.
