Gross closes the gap in OPOY race

Steve 'gboro780' Gross reduced Shaun Deeb's lead in Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) competition to 50 points on Wednesday (April 7th), scoring 500 as he finished second in a six-handed mixed hold'em event.
The result took his overall total for 2009 to 4,536 points, leaving him in touching distance of first place and 580 points ahead of frtk in third position.
Chris 'Moorman1' Moorman is fourth on 3,870 points, ahead of Aditya 'Intervention' Agarwal (3,504) and Jay 'THE_GOLDMINE' Kinkade (3,288).
Kinkade has had a particularly good start to the month, earning 792 points in total.
His biggest score came in another shorthanded mixed hold'em event on Wednesday, in which he took 480 points for finishing third.
Mohsin 'chicagocards1' Charania is currently seventh in the table on 3,124 points, with Thayer 'THAY3R' Rasmussen (3,060), Jonathan 'xxjondxx' Delong (3,044) and Adam 'Roothlus' Levy (2,940) rounding out the top ten.
