Eastgate 30th in WSOP champions list

The reigning World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event champion Peter Eastgate has placed 30th in Bluff Magazine's countdown of the finest WSOP champions ever.
Eastgate was praised by the publication in an exclusive article on the official WSOP website for winning one of the greatest heads-ups in World Series history against Ivan Demidov, taking the second biggest prize pot in poker history and becoming the youngest person to triumph in the main event.
His accolades were good enough to place him directly ahead of Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson in the list.
Ferguson has won five WSOP bracelets so far during his career - including the main event title in 2000 - and has an unsurpassed record of cash finishes since making his debut at the WSOP in 1995.
Among the other luminaries to have placed in the top 40 countdown so far are Susie Isaacs (32nd), Mickey Appleman (33rd) and Jamie Gold (40th).
