Lindgren, Negreanu consider WSOP challenge

2009-04-15 11:53:19

Daniel Negreanu has revealed that he and friend Erick Lindgren are considering making a prop bet at this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) that the duo will earn more player of the year points between them than any other duo.

Writing in his Full Contact Poker blog, Negreanu said the bet would be "a great way to motivate us both" and gave Erik Seidel and John Juanda and Barry Greenstein and Chris Ferguson as examples of teams that might provide a good contest.

An E-Dog-Kid Poker team would likely be a tough prospect for anyone to overcome at the WSOP given their respective records.

Lindgren won the player of the year award in 2008 after picking up two bracelets, while Negreanu also finished in the top ten as he earned the fourth bracelet of his career.

Seidel and Juanda have 12 WSOP bracelets between them, while Greenstein and Ferguson have a combined total of seven.
