Shorr confirms WPT Championship attendance

Shannon Shorr has confirmed that he will be taking part in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas later this month.
Writing on his official website for the first time in about a month, the Bellagio Cup II winner revealed that he already has a seat at the tournament after taking down an event at the casino last July.
Referring to the standard $25,000 buy-in, he commented: "It's nice not to have to fork up 25 dimes at the cashier cage."
Shorr is looking to do well in the event after a disappointing few weeks in which most of his winnings from the early start of the year dwindled away online.
He is also hoping to make amends for what he considers to be a "disappointing" string of WPT results, having cashed three times in 26 attempts.
Last year's WPT Championship was one of the biggest poker tournaments of 2008. David Chiu won the competition to net more than $3.3 million.
