Dragan Galic has stormed further into the lead at the European Poker Tour event in San Remo, significantly increasingly his advantage on Day 2.
The Croatian resumed at the head of the leaderboard with 107,800 chips and finished the day on 552,900.
That puts him nearly 160,000 chips ahead of his nearest rival, Constant Rijkenberg.
A total of 124 players are still in contention, the field having been cut from its record starting level of 1,178 with 469 having made it to Day 2.
The top prize for the tournament is 1.5 million ($1.9 million) and others who are chasing Galic include Giuseppe Argento, Maurilio Mergiotti and Robert Flink, who all have chip counts above 280,000.
But Jason Mercier, who took down the event last year and netted 869,000 in the process, was among those who busted on the second day.
Last year's EPT San Remo saw over 700 people enter, but the 2009 event has broken the record for a European tournament.
