Nguyen leads as 10 remain at WPT Championship

Scotty Nguyen has taken the chip lead after day 5 at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The field was cut from 24 to ten over the course of play, with that number set to be reduced to six for the televised final table.
Nguyen will resume with 5,880,000 chips, with Yevgeniy Timoshenko in second on 5,105,000.
Play finished when Jennifer Harman was eliminated in 11th place, having called Timoshenko when he pushed all-in before the flop.
Harman held pocket aces and Timoshenko ten-two, but the board showed queen-four-two-ten-nine.
Earlier, Freddy Deeb had been knocked out in 12th after check-raising all-in with the board showing jack-seven-two.
Brian Rast called and turned over ace-jack, Deeb holding eight-seven but with a flush draw.
The turn and the river provided no help and Deed was eliminated, netting $81,710.
A total of 338 players entered the championship and the winner is set to take home $2.1 million, down from last year's level of $3.3 million.
