Rijkenberg takes down EPT San Remo

Holland's Constant Rijkenberg has taken down the European Poker Tour event in San Remo, Italy.
The 20-year-old began play at the final table in fourth place before eventually beating Kalle Niemi in the heads-up to pocket over €1.5 million ($2 million).
Dragan Galic had been chip leader at the end of each of the previous days' play and was strong favorite to take the title, but he was sent to the rail in fifth by Rijkenberg - handing the Dutchman control.
In the final hand of the day, Niemi pushed all-in with the board showing ten-five-three-five.
Rijkenberg called and showed pocket aces, with Niemi's ace-ten leaving him needing a ten on the river.
But when it was a four that came Rijkenberg could celebrate, having come through a record field of 1,178 entrants.
The prize money generated showed a significant increase on last year, when Jason Mercier took home €869,000 for first place.
