Mizrachi leads WSOP Circuit Main Event

2009-04-29 16:05:02

Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi has taken the lead at the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

There are a total of 16 competitors remaining after two days of play and organisers have decided to play straight through until a winner is found when they resume later today (Wednesday April 29th).

Mizrachi currently has a chip count of 700,00, followed by Evgeny Serebryakov on 575,000 and Dwyte Pilgrim - who has 500,000.

The latter is aiming to win his third WSOP Circuit event and his second Main Event title, although among those he will have to defeat are Men 'The Master' Nguyen and Matt Brady.

Mizrachi's biggest win so far came in the LA Poker Classic in 2005.

He took down the no-limit hold'em main event - pocketing nearly $1.9 million - and has earned more than $6 million over the course of his career.
