Daniel Negreanu has revealed his frustration at busting out of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
Writing in his Full Contact Poker blog, the professional stated that his demise came about partly as a result of a miscalculation.
He explained that he went up against Hevad Khan and noticed that his opponent had a blue chip that he didn't recognise.
Assuming it was the 500 chip, Negreanu decided to bluff the hand - as he estimated Khan to have around 4,000 chips left.
However, upon losing Negreanu received a shock as he was informed he owed 14,000.
"My fault, but it was a bit annoying to go down like that," he wrote, noting that he had not seen the chip in the tournament before.
Earlier in the week, Negreanu reached the final table of the Ante Up for Africa event, which raised more than 250,000 ($331,000) for humanitarian efforts in Darfur.
