Rousso victorious in high roller tournament

The inaugural European Poker Tour (EPT) High Roller Event has been won by Vanessa Rousso.
A total of 79 runners entered the €25,000 ($33,360) tournament in Monte Carlo, with Rousso taking down the €720,000 first prize after beating fellow American Randy Dorfman in the heads-up.
Tony G was eliminated at the final table in third place, with Dorfman entering heads-up play in the lead.
But it was Rousso that eventually came out on top as she made a straight on the final hand to beat Dorfman's two pair.
Others who had taken part in the tournament included Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier, Phil Ivey and Erik Seidel.
Meanwhile, the EPT Grand Final was also played out in Monte Carlo - with Pieter de Korver coming through a field of 935 participants to take first prize.
The Dutchman pocketed €2.3 million after beating Amercian Matthew Woodward in heads-up play that lasted just over an hour.
