The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Bayou Poker Challenge at Hurrah's, New Orleans has passed its halfway point.
A total of 20 gold ring events are scheduled to be played and Bluff Magazine reports that John Lallo has taken down the tenth.
The $300 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament was held over two days and attracted more than 260 runners.
Lallo - also known as 'the Melon' - pocketed $18,650 in addition to the WSOP Circuit ring, having won the longest of the events to date.
He faced Alex Woods in the heads-up, the achievement marking his first major tournament victory, although the publication noted that he has cashed twice before.
Meanwhile, the Bluff Magazine countdown of the 40 greatest WSOP champions has reached the top ten.
Chris Moneymaker was named in tenth place, with his 2003 victory making him the first Main Event champion to have qualified through an online satellite.
