World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe could begin holding events outside of London, it has been revealed.
Jeffrey Pollack, WSOP commissioner, told CardPlayer.com that the move is being considered following the early success of the events.
The inaugural WSOP Europe tournament was held in 2007 and marked the first time bracelets have been on offer outside of Las Vegas.
Pollack explained that while it has been successful in the current location, moving to other cities has always been in the minds of the organizers.
"In two very short years, I think we've created one of the most prestigious poker events outside of the United States," he said, adding that the plan had been to introduce new markets to the WSOP in a "very authentic and relevant way".
Last week, Pollack revealed that inappropriate outbursts at this year's WSOP in Las Vegas are to be punished by stricter enforcements that will include suspensions from hands and rounds.
