Billy Baxter added to list of champions

Billy Baxter has been named as the seventh greatest World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion in the event's 40-year history.
The seven-time bracelet winner was chosen in the position by Bluff Magazine as its countdown of the 40 best players continued.
It noted that Baxter has won all of his titles in variations of lowball poker, while Stu Ungar has described him as the world's best player of that form of the game.
But Baxter has also finished in the money at the Main Event three times from 1997 to 2007.
The publication also observed the impact he had on the game through a legal battle, which resulted in a court recognizing that poker is a game of skill.
He had filed the case because professional players were subject to much higher tax rates and the ruling meant that winnings could be considered personal service income, Bluff Media stated.
Baxter was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame in 2006 alongside T.J. Cloutier, who has been named in ninth place on the list.
