Gaspard takes down Bayou Poker challenge main event

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Bayou Poker Challenge has come to an end, with Jean 'Prince' Gaspard taking down the main event.
He took a strong chip lead in to the final table and held on to it throughout the final day, eventually emerging as the winner of the $211,722 top prize.
A total of 167 runners entered the tournament at Harrah's in New Orleans, aiming to take home a WSOP Circuit gold ring as well as a place in the WSOP Main Event.
Billy Kopp had been chip leader at the end of day one and having relinquished it to Gaspard on the second day, he ultimately came closest to defeating the eventual winner.
Kopp took home $127,832 for finishing as runner-up, while Ken Christopher pocketed just under $82,000 for coming third.
A total of 20 gold ring events were played at the Bayou Poker Challenge, with Bluff Media reporting earlier this week that Lisa Wilder had taken down the ladies' championship.
