Professional poker player Tony 'the Lizard' Bloom has taken over an English soccer club.
The Briton has invested £93 million in Brighton and Hove Albion - who play in the country's League One - making him the major shareholder and chairman.
And he immediately targeted a return to the club's "glory days" of the 1970s, when his grandfather was among those in charge.
Bloom explained that he is aiming to see the side promoted "as soon as possible", adding: "I want to see the club build on the momentum under our newly-appointed manager Russell Slade."
Earlier this week, French soccer coach Raymond Domenech revealed that he is considering a move in the other direction.
The current boss of France's national team told Gazzetta dello Sport that he would like to take on the world's best poker professionals in Las Vegas, stating: "My job helps me as I have learnt the capacity to analyze an opponent."
