WSOP final table to get underway tomorrow

2009-11-06 15:47:22

The much-anticipated final table of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) final table is set to get underway tomorrow (November 7th 2009).

Darvin Moon will lead when the gamers take their seats at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, having amassed more than 58 million chips in the course of the tournament.

He is followed by Eric Buchanan, Steven Begleiter and Jeff Schulman, who have 34.8 million, 29.8 million and 19.5 million chips respectively.

Joseph Cada and Kevin Schaffel are the only other players with seven-figure stacks, starting the final table with 13.2 million and 12.3 chips.

All eyes are likely to be on poker pro Phil Ivey, who has been tipped by a number of gamers, to take the title, despite the fact that he has only 9.7 million chips.

Among his supporters is Daniel Negreanu, who stands to lose his position at the top of the all time money list for live tournaments if Ivey triumphs.

Antoine Saout and James Ackenhead make up the last nine.
