Isildur1 wins $1.2m in 36 hours

The gamer known online as Isildur1 continues to cause a stir in the internet poker world and he recently pocketed nearly $1.2 million playing against five of the most formidable high stakes players in the world.

In the space of 36 hours of online play, the gamer tried his luck against Finnish legend Patrik Antonius, online prodigy Tom Dwan, WSOP final tablist Phil Ivey, high stakes pot-limit Omaha specialist Ilari Sahamies and Virginian online pro Cole South.

Ivey was the only player to come out on top, logging off with $900,000 of the mystery Swede's cash.

Despite taking $1.5 million of Isildur1's money early on in the session, Dwan was eventually down $160,000, while South lost $550,000 to the gamer.

Isildur1 recently lost $2.7 million to Antonius, but went some way to recouping his losses by taking $330,000 of the Finn's cash.

However, it was fellow Finn Sahamies who suffered the most at the hands of the Scandinavian sensation, losing more than $1 million to his opponent.

According to Card Player, this means that over the last four weeks, Isildur1 has banked about $4 million, $1.2 million of which were won in a 36-hour period.
