Eric Baldwin: Enjoying poker has helped me stay fresh

Eric Baldwin, who currently leads Card Player magazine's Player of the Year race, has said the fact that he enjoys sitting at the felt has helped his performance this year.
The gamer told poker journalist Ryan Lucchesi that he is not as talented as some of the other players on the circuit at the moment.
However, in an interview for Card Player, he stated that his ability to "stay fresh" has helped him perform well in 2009.
"I come and sit at a table with nine interesting characters and play a game. I enjoy it, even the small buy-ins. I think that aspect helps me a ton," he commented.
Baldwin said he does not feel as if he is getting "burnt out" playing so many events and that he likes sitting at the felt with "nine interesting characters".
Since the start of the year, Baldwin has amassed more than $1 million in live tournament winnings and he has come out on top in three competitions, two of which had six-figure first prizes.
