William Brindise has notched up the most significant win in his poker career to date at the US Poker Championships.
The gamer beat Men Nguyen, nicknamed The Master, in the heads-up to pocket $261,800 in prize money, reports Bluff magazine.
Previously, all his live tournament efforts had earned him a total of $128,701, with his single largest cash coming in event 14 in the Trump Classic four years ago when he banked more than $40,000.
Brindise had to fight through a field of 154 players to take the largest share of the $770,000 prize pool at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
Eric Ladny came in third, followed by Gordon Eng, Brian Lemke - who won a bracelet at the World Series of Poker this year - Nick Binger and Anton Smolyanskiy.
Binger's brother Michael also made a final table appearance at the Taj Mahal in the pot-limit Omaha competition.
