World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event winner Joe Hachem has expressed his pleasure at the wide range of events on offer in Australia in recent weeks.
Hachem, who landed his WSOP bracelet in 2005, added that he is looking forward to playing in the Australia New Zealand Poker Tournament (ANZPT) just days after the Aussie Millions wrapped up.
According to the card sharp, the best part of the ANZPT is that it is decided on a points basis across the calendar year, meaning that consistency is key.
He remarked: "By claiming the overall ANZPT tournament championship, a player has to prove that they can achieve high results again and again, against a wealth of different challengers."
A native of Australia, Hachem claimed the event also provides professional players the opportunity to mix poker and travel.
Those who take part can visit some of the most beautiful locations the country has to offer, he explained.
