Isildur1 will be back, Antonius says

2010-02-12 17:13:32

Online phenomenon Isildur1 will return to poker in the near future, predicts Patrik Antonius.

The Finnish player, who won the biggest pot in internet history from the as-of-yet unidentified Isildur1, told Card Player it will only take a few years for him to blaze back on the scene.

Isildur1 worked his way up the limits at Full Tilt and eventually played in some of the largest stakes available over the net, battling against Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey.

Antonius said: "Isildur is so young - if he's the guy who people think he is. All it's going to take is some experience, like a year or two."

It has been suggested that Isildur1 could be Viktor Blom, a Swedish online poker gamer, but Blom has failed to confess that he is in fact the anonymous player.

According to Antonius, despite securing over $9 million in 2009 through internet poker, he feels he had a bad year due to a number of failed sports bets.
