Negreanu laments 'KO hand' in Premier League

Daniel Negreanu has admitted to a disappointing start in this season's Premier League event after Phil Laak knocked him out first in the opening session.
Negreanu held five-six to Laak's pocket sixes on a board of 10c-6c-5s, which left him needing running fives for four-of-a-kind, he noted on his Full Contact Poker Blog.
"Luckily for me there are three heats left and I have a chance to rebound," Kid Poker said. "Obviously not the start I was looking for, so my primary focus now shifts a little bit."
According to the card sharp, he must now concentrate on finishing within the top eight rather than the leading four of the 12-player event.
Finishing in either first, second or third in the next round will be a big help in achieving this aim, he remarked.
Doyle Brunson was due to take part in the tournament but pulled out to recover from teeth and gum surgery.
