Daniel Negreanu "impressed" by Phil Laak

Daniel Negreanu has revealed that the quality of Phil Laak's play at the recent Premier League poker event made an impact on him.Writing in his Full Contact blog, the Canadian card sharp picked out what he expects to be the toughest table at this week's NAPT $25K Bounty Shootout tournament and suggested that he expects the Unabomber could well be one of the standouts.
"Phil Laak really impressed me recently at the Premier League," he commented.
However, he does not make Laak the favourite to triumph over the table of seven, which also includes Tommy Vedes, Joe Cassidy, David Williams, Joe Sebok and Justin Bonomo.
Instead, he prefers Yevgeniy Timoshenko as his number one seed, noting that he also found him impressive during the Premier League.
Laak has been a regular in high-profile tournaments for a number of years, winning a World Poker Tour (WPT) title in 2004. But Timoshenko has arguably performed better in recent times, taking victory in the WPT Championship competition in 2009.
