Brunson allays health concerns

Ten-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Doyle Brunson has tried to allay concerns over his health.The 76-year-old, who recently underwent surgery for his teeth and gums, noted on his official blog that he has received a number of phone calls from people worried about his wellbeing.
While the Grandfather of Poker admitted he had not "been feeling very good" due to travelling between various tournaments, but he added that in general he is in good shape.
"The only negative thing about my health is I finally have asked myself, 'am I really this old?'," he explained.
According to Texas Dolly, a nickname Brunson picked up after having his name misread by an announcer, his wife on the other hand has been experiencing illness.
"My bride of 48 years has been having some health problems," he noted, adding that his absence from poker can be attributed to looking after her.
