Poker is a game of highs and lows, Hachem says

World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event winner Joe Hachem has admitted that poker is a game of ups and downs.The card sharp, who landed the WSOP title in 2005, wrote in an article for the Sydney Morning Herald that despite the highs and lows, it offers professionals a number of opportunities to which they would not normally have access.
He remarked: "The life of a poker player can be difficult … However the positives are undeniable."
According to the Australian gamer, the advantages include the ability to travel the world, meet and play with superstars, learn from the best players in the world and make a living "doing something you love".
"All of these things make the life of a poker player a dream," he remarked.
Commenting on the growth of the industry over the past ten years, Hachem noted that it could not have been achieved without the passion and support of companies working within the industry.
