Isildur1 falls to Hastings again

2010-03-17 17:34:55

A much-awaited rematch between online phenomenon Isildur1 and Brian Hastings resulted in more losses for the anonymous player, who is yet to reveal his true identity.

The two originally met late last year when Hastings pocketed $4 million of Isildur1's money, however, the face-off was steeped in controversy when it emerged that the former had used hand histories to analyse betting patterns ahead of the confrontation.

This time Isildur1 dropped between $1.4 million and $1.6 million over the course of more than 2,500 hands, cutting his profits from the year in half during a single day.

According to Online Poker News, the biggest hand of the session saw Isildur1 - who many in the industry believe to be Swedish pro Viktor Blom - win a $486,000 pot with top two pair on the Omaha "nosebleed" cash tables.

However, the hand was not enough to see him stage a comeback and he was later forced to drop down in stakes to recover his bankroll.
