Voters 'clamber' to choose TOC participants

Over 40,000 votes have been cast by World Series of Poker (WSOP) fans to choose the participants for the Tournament of Champions (TOC).According to WSOP organisers, the response has been prolific, with enthusiastic supporters clambering to make sure "their voices are heard".
Vice-president of Harrah's Interactive Entertainment Ty Stewart said allowing admirers of the game to select the players to take part in the TOC is a great idea.
"In just 24 hours the poker community has spoken loud and clearly and they should be applauded for their passion," he said.
Five of the 27 players will gain automatic entry to the $100 million event, with the three previous TOC winners and the reigning WSOP champion and WSOP Europe title holder all getting a seat.
This means Annie Duke - who recently won the NBC Heads Up Championship - Mike Sexton, Mike Matusow, Joe Cada and Barry Shulman are all expected to be involved.
