Negreanu 'playing more online poker'

2010-03-22 12:17:07

Daniel Negreanu has admitted he is playing a lot more online poker recently.

The card sharp wrote on his Full Contact Poker blog that he has been a regular feature at the $100-$200 no-limit hold'em games, noting that he often puts in more than six hours at a time.

"I've been having so much fun with it! In those games, I'm regularly playing with only winning players," he stated.

According to Negreanu, nicknamed Kid Poker, the experience is that much more enjoyable because he is enjoying a hot streak at the moment.

He added: "I've been working hard on my no-limit hold'em game and I'm happy with the results."

Watching and learning from excellent online players has really improved his performance in cash games, the multiple World Series of Poker bracelet holder explained.

Negreanu was recently usurped from the top of the all-time money earners list by Phil Ivey, following the latter's second-place finish in the Aussie Millions High Rollers event earlier this year.
