Negreanu: Poker has changed since I started out

Daniel Negreanu has stated that poker is much different to when he first began playing the game.Writing on his Full Contact Poker blog, Negreanu said the style he developed early in his career was successful against particular opponents, but is now not as useful in the modern era.
"I grew up playing limit hold'em, a game where flop aggression is rewarded and thin value betting is a must," he remarked.
According to the pro, bluffing is not much of a requirement in this variant of poker, whereas no-limit incorporates this element of play.
While the pastime has changed so rapidly, he added, it is still possible to compete adequately by learning and adjusting in order to tackle the challenges posed by more advanced opponents.
Negreanu recently accused fellow veteran Phil Hellmuth of failing to fine-tune his skills with the progression of poker, noting that he is not the dominant force he once was.
