Negreanu: It's time to run deep in tournaments

2010-03-24 17:36:20

Daniel Negreanu has stated he wants to start making some decent cashes in live tournaments after putting in repeated good performances this year.

The card shark noted he has made it past the first day in all of the multi-table events in which he has featured in 2009 and he admitted he now wants to run deep.

Commenting on the opening phase in the ongoing European Poker Tour (EPT) Snowfest in Austria, the Canadian said he felt like a "pure criminal" because of how "ridiculously good" his play was.

"I should have gone broke on day one with the way the hands came out, but instead, I upped my 30,000 starting stack," he added.

Otherwise known as Kid Poker, Negreanu said he finished the session on 65,700 chips and somewhere around the middle of the pack.

However, according to Bluff Europe, he failed to make the last 85 competitors by day three - with the top 80 all receiving money.
