Mortensen equals WPT record

Carlos Mortensen has secured his third World Poker Tour (WPT) title, putting him level with Danish professional Gus Hansen.The World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event winner equalled the record by beating 114 competitors at the WPT Hollywood Open.
While he shares his number of victories with Hansen, he has shot to the top of the money-earnings list for the popular series of tournaments, usurping Daniel Negreanu by adding nearly $400,000 to the $5.5 million he has won in other events.
It is the second time this year Negreanu tumbled to second in such rankings, with Phil Ivey taking first place on the all-time money register, following the latter's performance at the Aussie Millions High Rollers competition earlier this year.
Mortensen defeated Mike Mustafa in heads-up play to land the trophy, with the final hand seeing the 2001 WSOP champ's king-ten beating his opponent's pocket sixes.
Mustafa took home over $200,000 for coming second.
