Negreanu 'playing more online poker'

2010-03-30 14:03:49

Daniel Negreanu has claimed he is playing much more online poker in recent weeks and he said the extra time is paying dividends.

Writing on his Full Contact Poker blog, Negreanu admitted there is a huge learning curve when using the internet and there were a few things he just didn't know.

"I'm learning as I go and talking to some online players that I respect about plugging some of my leaks," he remarked. "It's as simple as spotting the leaks and then plugging them."

The Canadian, nickname Kid Poker, said decent pros should be able to make the switch from live tournaments fairly easily as only minor adjustments are required.

According to the card sharp, over the last month he jumped to $200,000 in profit while sitting at his computer, although he has since dropped down to just $20,000.

Negreanu has won four World Series of Poker bracelets in his career, with the last being in a limit hold'em event in 2008.
