Dwan, Ivey and Antonius win big at Easter

2010-04-07 16:43:33

Three of poker's biggest online poker names enjoyed a lucrative Easter period over the internet.

According to Gambling Online Magazine, Tom 'durrrr' Dwan, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius all registered profits over the bank holiday period.

The news provider noted that Ivey was the early winner, making an increasingly rare appearance via his computer, but still managing to pocket $316,000 of Dwan's money at the high-stakes pot-limit Omaha tables.

However, the publication explanined, durrrr was able to recover and went on a hot streak against fellow online specialists Justin 'ZeeJustin' Bonomo, Ashton Griffin and Isaac Haxton.

When the dust had settled, Dwan was more than $600,000 up, the information source claimed.

"That just left Patrik Antonius to mount his Easter resurrection," it commented, adding that the Finnish pro was able to do so by winning $900,000 from Cole South.

It marks a torrid time for South, who lost $1 million to Ilari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies and Dwan last month.
